The Tweed Hospital – Cancer Care & Haematology Unit

The Cancer Care and Haematology Unit provides consultation and review by Consultants. The Unit also provides chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biological therapies as well as a range of supportive therapies such as blood transfusions to patient’s with solid tumours, haematological malignancies and patients with non cancerous blood disorders. Furthermore, this unit is actively involved in new drugs by participating in clinical trials for the above indications. Access to the Cancer Care and Haematology Unit is by referral to a Medical Oncologist or Haematologist.

  • Operates between the hours of 7.30am and 6.30pm
  • The Unit accepts direct referrals from GP’s and Specialist
