Cancer Care & Haematology

The commencement of a new satellite Cancer Care and Haematology service for the residents of Byron Shire offers patients of the Cancer Care and Haematology service the opportunity for a number of treatments and specialist consultations to be delivered closer to home.

There is a separate direct access into the unit provided at the back of the building with separate car parking and drop off area provided for a limited number of cars.

  • The Cancer Care & Haematology unit is open 7.30am to 6.30pm.
  • Family/carers are able to sit with patients at their chair space while certain treatments are being undertaken.
  • Access to the Cancer Care and Haematology Service is by referral to a Medical Oncologist or Haematologist.
