Nimbin Community Health – Needle Syringe Program

The Needle Syringe Program is a public health measure to reduce the spread of blood-borne viral infections among injecting drug users.

  • Drop in service located at NSP, Nimbin Hospital, Cullen St. Open Monday-Thursday, 9.45am – 12.30pm (closed Fridays and public holidays).
  • Services provided: access to full range of sterile injecting equipment, information, support, referral.
  • 24 hour free ‘fitpack’ vending machine located at Nimbin Hospital NSP site (access via wooden steps located behind the white lattice near the left, back corner of the hospital car park).
  • Equipment available: 5x1ml fitpack (27g or 29g) and 4x5ml fitpacks (25g). Free 24 hour access to large sharps safe-disposal bins
