Kingscliff Community Health – Genetic Counselling

Genetic Counselling is a health care service available to individuals, families or couples who are concerned about or wish to discuss the options relating to: a family history of cancer; a genetic condition in their family; the chance that they will develop a condition affecting other family members; passing a condition on to their children; becoming parents when they are 35 years of age or older; prenatal testing; having a partner who is a close relative and they are planning a pregnancy; an abnormality has been detected in their baby during pregnancy; and/or they have experienced 2 or more miscarriages, a stillbirth or an early infant death.
